Robert L. Leahy, Ph.D.
Robert L. Leahy, Ph.D., is the author of The Worry Cure: Seven Steps to Stop Worry from Stopping You. He is Clinical Professor of Psychology in Psychiatry at Weill-Cornell Medical School and Director of the American Institute for Cognitive Therapy in New York City.
Robert L. Leahy (B.A., M.S., Ph.D., Yale University), is the President of the International Association of Cognitive Psychotherapy, President of the Academy of Cognitive Therapy, Director of the American Institute for Cognitive Therapy (NYC), Clinical Professor of Psychology in Psychiatry at Weill-Cornell University Medical School, and Associate Editor of The International Journal of Cognitive Therapy. He was recently elected to be President-Elect of the Association for Behavioral and Cognitive Therapy.
He is author and editor of sixteen books, including Treatment Plans and Interventions for Depression and Anxiety Disorders, Overcoming Resistance in Cognitive Therapy
