Race relations won't be

Race relations won't be properly addressed until everyone is on level financial playing field, and that won't happen unless our next administration can clean up this country. We keep getting off topic in this election, which is why I wrote in Gore for the primary.

I'm gaining respect for Obama, but I almost never hear actual issues addressed except the war. Maybe if we had been ticked off about oil spills killing tens of thousands of ocean birds and mammals, we could have demanded alternative energy right then and there, and we wouldn't be in the mess we're in now.

But like Katrina, we just looked the other way. Environmental justice is social justice. While Obama is just enjoying his big lovefest of popularity these issues are not being discussed.

Health care, poverty, housing for everyone and respect for the planet have to happen first before we can resolve race issues. The politicians are approaching all of this backwards. And if another republican wins I really will move to Canada.
